Biography
When Edward (Eddy) Prorok first started at FL Fuller Landau LLP as a summer student, his expectation was to get his professional designation, stick around maybe five years, and move on to something else. However, he admits that the respect he received from FL Fuller Landau LLP, the professional responsibility and challenge he was given, and the relationships he developed with clients made it hard to leave – and he is still here, 34 years later.
“I see myself as a trusted advisor, accountant, business consultant, and entrepreneur”, remarks Eddy, an audit partner whose areas of concentration include real-estate, manufacturing, imports and distribution, family holdings and estates, and non-profit organizations. “Yes, the backbone to it all is the financial reporting and tax-filing, but the real value is added through the advisory services”.
Considering the complexity of business and taxation, the family dynamics involved in private companies, and the constant changes that everyone is faced with daily, Eddy contends that it is important to be a trusted advisor to help clients achieve their goals. He also believes that the combination of being able to draw on the expertise of the FL Fuller Landau LLP team, along with the firm’s emphasis on providing well-rounded experience to younger team members, have been invaluable in helping in Eddy’s development and in servicing his clients to meet such challenges.
“People also often remark to me that I have a high level of patience and dedication in dealing with my practice and clients…it helps when you love the work that you do”.
